Hunger – Epilogue is the first Ackerman’s publication since his acclaimed book ‘Half Life’ (Delpire, 2010). Featuring works from his debut project ‘End Time City’, to works that have never seen the light of day so far, ‘Epilogue’ is a recollection of Ackerman’s past and future universe. The text by Jem Cohen, Michael’s old friend, gives the reader an insider’s view of the artist’s work and personality.

The publication, comes with more than 130 images (many of which, unseen), and is a unique opportunity to sneak into the artist’s latest unpublished works.
‘Hunger – Epilogue’ is now on its second iteration featuring new unpublished photographs and a new sequence.

Born in Tel Aviv in 1967, Michael Ackerman spent his childhood and youth in the USA, where his family emigrated in 1974. He started photographing at age 18. In 1999, the publication of ‘End Time City’ by Robert Delpire was a shock and a rare discovery of a talent of great intensity. He is the recipient of the Nadar Award for his book ‘End Time City’ (Delpire, 1999), and the Infinity Award for Young Photographer by the International Center of Photography (NYC in 1998). In 2009, he received the SCAM Roger Pic Award for ‘Departure, Poland’.
