The design is virtually unchanged since the introduction of electrical power, this bulb holder gives the period look whilst being fully compliant with modern electrical standards.

Made from high quality brass this Edison screw brass batten holder is ideal to fix directly to ceilings, tables, or walls.

It has a safety feature that means once put together it cannot be unscrewed. This is to ensure you don’t undo the bulb holder when changing the bulb. To attach a power cord to it, you have to unscrew the base first. For doing so you have to push down the retention pin inside the bulb holder (e.g with a screwdriver) and unscrew the upper ring.

As this is a plain batten bulb holder you can’t add a shade to it.
