The Diamond music box has an elegant multifaceted design that references the process of refining a rough diamond to uncover its true potential, but also pays homage to traditional craftsmanship and vintage music boxes. It’s made in a village bordering the Black Forest by a small family-run manufacture. They insert the mechanical 18-note chime into blocks of solid indigenous woods which are then trimmed by hand into their perfect diamond shape.<\/p>\n
Natural oils of premium quality awaken the unique character of the wood while with a turn of the oversized metal key, Satie starts. Inside, an 18-note musical movement plays Erik Satie\u2019s \u2018Je Te Veux\u2019 (I Want You) song, in honor of the composer\u2019s 150th birthday which is celebrated in 2016.<\/p>\n
