Continuing our commitment to sharing makers’ stories and ensuring the craftspeople of the world have a place to reach new audiences \u2013 free from algorithms and distractions, in this edition, we dive into our first boots-on-the-ground exploration in Ballarat, Victoria, a city with a rich history and a burgeoning creative renaissance. During the Ballarat Heritage Festival and UNESCO Creative Cities events in the last week of May this year, we were on the scene, engaging with local makers, and documenting the week’s events as they unfolded. The Glasgow-born quarterly publication We Are Makers exists to ‘connect the reader and the maker’ while providing an opportunity for in-depth stories to be shared, craft to be (deservedly) shown off and creative communities cultivated.<\/p>\n
