Desired Landscapes \u2013 A Magazine Reading into Cities<\/em>, is a pocket-sized collection of person-to-place bonds, urban observations and poetic snapshots, seen through the eyes of people who write the stories of today\u2019s cities.
\nEvery issue could be seen as a city guide which reflects upon the representations of the urban experience. A collection of postcards depicting distant theres unvisited or perhaps unforgettable; of projections of possible homes, streets yet to be discovered and urban clich\u00e9s to be demystified.<\/p>\n

In this issue, the image is removed. This is the issue of being present.
\nWe walk in cities with no postcards, only to collect postcards from home. We close our eyes to move our bodies through dense tourism and rising floods. We drive through the past, holding on to occult rituals to stay rooted. We taste the city on the go, misled by its disguised fa\u00e7ades and concealed staircases. We bring home wild plants, only to forget them, and choose to live beside volcanoes despite the risk. We switch off the lights to walk under the stars, and to hear the echoes of suppressed rivers. In this issue, we sense all kinds of flows.
\nThis is the issue of cities as energies.<\/p>\n
