The creative collaboration between celebrated British-Israeli chef Yotam Ottolenghi and his good friend, artist Ivo Bisignano, led this time to ‘Sicily’, a series of exuberant hand-painted ceramic vases.
The series journeys from the table to the outside, visually revisiting Bisignano’s childhood home of Sicily where ‘Testa di Moro’ — colorful flower pots in the shape of crowned heads — are an important and striking part of the landscape.
This round hand-painted stoneware vase is shaped as a crowned head and is simultaneously a cheerful ode to a distinctly Sicilian aesthetic and Ottolenghi’s bold cooking style.
