Studio Arhoj creates charming and one of a kind design objects that explore the visual relationship between Scandinavian simplicity and traditional Japanese culture. Located in Copenhagen, they are interested in keeping alive the knowledge about old crafts such as wheel throwing and glaze construction, and their focus is on form as opposed to function. They are famed for their thick colourful glazes and the completely unique playful characters.
Tomo masks are hand cast and glazed, low-fired earthenware forms inspired by ancient gods and futuristic visions. Each Tomo (friend in Japanese) will hang on your wall and keep a watchful gaze.
They are designed in Denmark and produced in the California of Europe, Portugal. The masks come in a custom cardboard box, making them perfect for gifting.
