Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, established in 1958 in Denmark, has housed exhibitions with some of the most renowned international artists, presenting an exhibition programme that has resonated strongly with the public for over 6 decades. The museum has earned a reputation as one of the world’s most respected exhibition venues, celebrated for its stunning architecture and inviting atmosphere.
The Louisiana Poster Collection is recognized among art enthusiasts worldwide and grace the walls in homes across the globe. It highlights artwork by a wide range of artists, designers and architects that have been presented at the museum and reproduces pieces that are part of its vast and ever-growing Louisiana Collection.
This is a poster with the work Holiday (2020), by the Swedish painter Karin Mamma Andersson. Louisiana exhibited her work in 2021 as part of the exhibition Humdrum Days.
Mamma Andersson constructs her paintings based on art historical references, found photographs, films, and historical clippings. Her works feature paintings within paintings, images upon images, unfolding into a universe of suggestive and emotionally charged narratives set in expansive landscapes, interiors, and portraits.
Louisiana’s exhibition featured 60 works by Mamma Andersson, including 10 new pieces created specifically for the exhibition.
The poster will be delivered unframed protectively packed in a cardboard tube – no frame is included.
